Message The way I see it:

People who call wheels "wheels" include:
- high-end wheel manufacturers (especially those who endorse racing motorsports)
- performance/suspension shops (unsprung weight is part of their vocabulary)
- quality wheel shops (structure, weight, fitment, finish)
- those who look for quality in wheels
- those who can afford to or willing to pay
- those who understand the meaning of automotive sports

People who call wheels "rims" include:
- knockoff wheel manufacturers (compromise quality for price)
- accessory shops (volume sales)
- wheel shops who mainly sell dubs and stock more spacers than they do wheels (bling bling and SUVs - they can put dubs on anything)
- those who uses price as a major deciding factor (looks over function)
- the younger crowd who came into the import scene (mr. upgrade-everything-that-can-be's)

Unfortunately, we don't receive much help, as the 2nd group of people is growing much more rapidly.
